Middle Level Commissioners

The Middle Level Commissioners manage water levels and drainage across a large part of the Fens, and they wanted planners and developers to understand drainage consent and the infrastructure behind it. The brief was a three-minute hero film, Managing Water, Enabling Growth, which is a lot to explain in three minutes.

We filmed across the Middle Level over two days, from the pumping stations out to open fenland, and used drone shots, interviews and map animations so the catchment makes sense to someone who has never seen it.

Alongside the main film we made case study films, social edits, an animation-only explainer and short policy clips, which gives the Commissioners a set of content they can keep using for a long time.
