Understand your costs
What should your video cost?
Pick the kind of film you have in mind, answer a few quick questions about filming, length and extras, and you'll get a price range for your project, worked out the same way we work out our own quotes.
If the number comes out more than you want to spend right now, have a look further down, because there are smaller ways in too.

What does a video cost in Norfolk and Suffolk?
It mostly comes down to how much filming there is and how many finished pieces you need from it, and those two things move the price far more than the camera, the drone or how clever the edit is. These are the figures the calculator gives for a typical version of each kind of film. They're all plus VAT, and they all include planning, filming, editing and delivery.

If you're a small independent business in Norfolk or Suffolk, our small business package is a fixed £970 plus VAT for half a day of filming and half a day of editing, and you come away with a short reel, a highlight film and a set of photos.
What pushes the price up
Each extra day of filming is the biggest jump, since a day is a day whether we make one film from it or four. More locations add time too, because every move means packing up and setting the lights and sound up again somewhere new. A script adds writing and approval time before anything is filmed, and animation is careful, slow work that's priced to match. A tight deadline adds a little as well, as we have to move other work around to fit yours in.

The most expensive thing of all is not being sure what the video is for. That's how businesses end up paying for two versions of the same film, and it's why we spend time on the brief with you before we pick up a camera.
How to get more from the same budget
The best value always comes from getting several things out of one filming day. Short versions for social media, a second film, or a set of photos taken while we're already with you all cost far less than booking another visit, and they keep your video working for you for months instead of sitting on your homepage on its own.

Letting us interview your people instead of working to a script is usually quicker and cheaper, and it tends to come across as more believable to your customers too.

If you need video most months, it can make more sense to train your own team to make the everyday pieces and bring us in for the two or three films a year that really have to be right. We run one-day training sessions for teams for exactly that.
