Electric Wheels: Showing the vehicles at work

Electric Wheels in Watton supplies and hires electric utility vehicles, and by 2024 most of their footage showed them working on farms. They wanted to show the other ways people use them, at events, on estates and for leisure. Over a few months we filmed the vehicles in three very different places.

The first was the Game and Country Fair at Euston Estate. That was quick, on-the-fly filming, working with their team to catch the vehicles in use around the showground. At a busy show you're asking people nicely if you can move around them, getting the shot, and staying out of their way while they enjoy their day. From that one day they got a 90-second highlights film, five short clips and 75 graded stills, plus a short version pointing to their event hire page.

The second was more planned. The owners of Chet Valley Vineyard near Bergh Apton had seen the vehicles at the fair, and we spent a day with them filming a case study with the Nipper working among the vines. Filming a working business in a single day is always a juggle, because they've got plenty going on. We wanted the vineyard to get something out of hosting us too, so we cut them a short promo film for their website and Instagram. We always want everyone involved to come away with something.

The third was a review with the owner of Explore 4x4 at Elveden. We spent time with him, asked what he honestly thought of the vehicle, and built the film around his opinion.
